The Medusal Slurker is a returning enemy in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The creature retains its usual appearance. Medusal Slurkers are initially passive, tending to wander around in the air, making erratic movements. If attacked, however, the Medusal Slurker will drop its sticky goop-like tongue to trap up to ten Pikmin in it. Rubber Pikmin, and Weighted Pikmin cannot be abducted by this creature. Pikmin taken by a Medusal Slurker will not be killed or eaten by it but will be deflowered over time. Along with sucking up Pikmin, a Medusal Slurker will tend to go near treasures and suck them up as well. They may even suck up corpses nearby their territory. No matter how many Pikmin are on the Slurker, it will never fall from the sky. It tends to shake Pikmin off with its erratic movements alone. If a Dart Pikmin hits them, they will begin to slowly lose health. Fur Pikmin can also latch on without falling off, doing decent damage. If killed, the creature will fall to the ground and release all treasure and Pikmin captured.

In Pikmin: Shipwrecked Stargazers the Medusal Slurker acts exactly as it does in Pikmin 3. It also gains a new larval form called the Polypal Slurker.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “Using the stalk of cotton-like fluff to catch the wind and drift along, this aerial jellyfish catches objects of interest with its elastic, uvula-like manubrium. It's likely just an expression of interest, as no digestive enzymes have been found in the gelatinous substance within it. This, combined with its lack of stinging nematocysts, makes the medusal slurker as harmless as it is mysterious. One can only wonder how we can use these attributes to our advantage.”
Louie's notes
- “With its naturally fruity flavor, this creature can be transformed into a flavorful sorbet if left in the freezer until firm. Garnish with a candied lemon or its own puff-stalk.”
Ship's comments
- “I stare at it scalping objects from the ground... and I see myself.”
