Lithomin are parasitic Pikmin in Pikmin: Other Frontier that infected a member of the lithopod family, specifically the Armored Cannon Beetle. They resemble Armored Cannon Beetle Larvae but slightly smaller and with darker green skin and a large green stem protruding from their back. Lithomin are found both on the surface as well as underground, the adults followed by a group of up to ten juveniles or none at all depending on the amount of other on-field Pikmin. While the juveniles don't attack, the adults will and have slightly more health than a typical Armored Cannon Beetle Larva. As well, they spit boulders at a slightly faster rate. Lithomin are resistant to blunt force such as the crushing force exerted by their boulders. The juveniles are useful for breaking down gates and damaging rock-based enemies, and their throw range allows them to reach otherwise inaccessible treasures. Unlike Bulbmin, Lithomin can be stored in and withdrawn from the ship.

Notes

Olimar's notes

A parasite infecting an animal is nothing new and the Bulbmin are a good example. However, recent discoveries found that lithopods are just as receptive to the parasite. Becoming increasingly common and the lack of a matured variant is probably the reason why matured armored cannon beetles aren't so common anymore.

The skin tastes like spinach but has more iron. Makes a good soup.
