The Orange Empress Bulblax appears in Pikmin: Redemption. It is similar to the Empress Bulblax in shape, size, and behavior but is harder to defeat. Not only can it crush Pikmin it rolls over, cause boulders to fall upon colliding with a wall, and birth Bulborb Larvae, but it can also eat Pikmin. Simply attack it as if it were a typical Empress Bulblax, but beware its bite. The easiest way to defeat it is by petrifying it with ultra-bitter spray and then swarming it with Pikmin.

- “A distinct relative of the empress bulblax, but different in several ways. One way is that it slithers after its prey, then eats it, which makes it even more dangerous than the empress bulblax. It is also orange, which, although not confirmed, perhaps is the cause of its aggressiveness. Unfortunately, we are unable to hypothesize how the skin cells of this variant have evolved.”
