Family Hydroe

Hydroe brambles are green thorny stalks serving as an extension of the Berserk Leech Hydroe, and as obstacles that pose a passive threat since they kill any Pikmin and hurt leaders that touch them. Each one can have different behaviors, between staying stationary, advancing and stopping, or moving in and out of place, and each one can also move in a straight line or a curvy pattern.

Hydroe brambles appear in Pikmin Eco as an as additional obstacle at Bounty Canopy after finishing story mode. Although they don't actively attack, touching any bramble is enough to kill any Pikmin and damage leaders, making them worth avoiding. Despite this, they can still be scanned and are included in the Piklopedia.

Notes

In-game entry

They may seem, on the surface, to be nothing more than spine-covered plants, but have been observed to move and react as if they have a developed a mind and nervous system. A singular hydroe bramble branch can grow long enough to wrap around large branches, in order to suck nutrients and steal sunlight from the opposing plant, so it's not hard to imagine how devastating a whole group of brambles can be to the local ecosystem.
