Wolf Pikmin are a breed of dog-like Pikmin that appear in Pikmin: A Son's Quest. They have dark grey fur with a lighter grey belly, turquoise eyes, claws, a canine snout, and small, pointed ears. Their flower resembles that of a dogwood tree's, being white with pink accents. Wolf Pikmin are much stronger than other types of Pikmin, being able to attack with their claws, which also allow them to dig much faster than other Pikmin. Their resistances lie in their thick fur, granting them immunity to cold climatess, and their demeanor, preventing them from panicking. Wolf Pikmin have a few downsides, one being that they can easily overheat and die in places that are too warm, but the main one being that they are very dependent on leaders, so much so that they will abandon their current task to accompany them should they walk away. Wolf Pikmin are also ferocious and will automatically attack small enemies such as sheargrubs in their vicinity. Wolf Pikmin and Cat Pikmin do not get along well and may fight against one another, potentially resulting in several Pikmin deaths if not quelled soon enough.
