The Daddy Long Legs is a boss appearing in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The creature, like most arachnorbs of its species, has an orb body with a dark brown coloration. The orb has two spikes protruding downwards, however, resembling two fangs on a spider. Four brown, extremely tall, thin legs with clawed feet are also attached to the orb of the Daddy Long Legs, allowing it to stomp around quickly.
The Daddy Long Legs can be found in large arenas, or in spider webs that are indicated by their shadow on the ground. Once the arena is approached, the arachnorb will fall from above and slam onto the ground, like most of its species. The Daddy Long Legs is extremely quick and agile. The total time it takes for each foot to lift up and smash on the ground is twice as fast as a Baldy Long Legs. It even surpasses the returning Beady Long Legs, which is slightly faster than most arachnorbs. This makes the Daddy Long Legs the fastest arachnorb, excluding the Man-at-Legs. However, in exchange for its speed, the arachnorb boss is significantly weaker than the rest of its species. To make up for this weakness, the Daddy Long Legs is very difficult to hit considering its extreme height, and spindly legs that are hard for Pikmin to climb.
The Daddy Long Legs can be annoying to take on if the right Pikmin types aren’t used. Considering Yellow Pikmin can't reach the orb unless the arachnorb lowers its body, having Winged Pikmin fly up to the orb is the best way. For a quick and easy kill, using a large group of the Pikmin boosted with an ultra-spicy spray will take out the boss with no effort. If Winged Pikmin are unavailable, land-faring Pikmin can climb up the legs of the creature, though they will have a hard time taking the arachnorb down. Defeating a Daddy Long Legs for the first time will grant the "Dead-y Defeated Legs" achievement.
In Overlord mode, the Daddy Long Legs will erupt and release up to seven Withering Dweevils upon death.

- “This species of arachnorb is highly radical and different from other arachnorbs. They seemingly have traded height for durability. This increased height allows for the Daddy Long Legs to reach vegetation or prey that reside in higher places. This is especially helpful, as the arachnorb tends to live in trees. They even blend in with most tree bark as a defense mechanism against predators.”

The Daddy Long Legs is an arachnorb in Pikmin: Redemption known for its extraordinarily long legs. Its body and joints are black, its skin is rough and leathery, and its legs are gray and have hairy knees. Pikmin can climb the creature's legs to reach its main body to attack it, which is much too far up to reach, even with Yellow Pikmin. However, the white hairs on its knees prevent Pikmin from climbing, and hidden in these hairs are white spores that poison all but White Pikmin. Therefore, the only Pikmin type that can reach the Daddy Long Legs' main body are White Pikmin, and so they are recommended to fight this creature with.
