Attacks Blows bubbles

The Bubble-Blowing Blowhog is an enemy in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf's Withered Remnant DLC. The creature looks like the Fiery Blowhog, Watery Blowhog, and Toxic Blowhog. However, unlike the other three creatures, the Blowhog has a green-tipped snout and a very light greenish underbelly. The Blowhog functions like most Blowhogs, wandering around looking for Pikmin. If it does get in range of at least one, it will quickly charge its attack before it ends up spewing a large amount of bubbles, around 15-20. Pikmin will be caught and trapped in these bubbles if they touch them. Throwing a Pikmin at a bubble will pop it, freeing any trapped Pikmin. Cactus Pikmin and Weighted Pikmin cannot be caught in bubbles. Although it can scatter the squad, the Bubble-Blowing Blowhog is completely harmless.

The Bubble-Blowing Blowhog is a blowhog that defends itself by blowing a stream of bubbles from its trunk. Like other land-dwelling blowhogs, a Bubble-Blowing Blowhog will wander idly around a small territory. When Pikmin or leaders come by, however, it will turn to face them before unleashing a barrage of bubbles in their direction. Any Pikmin or leaders that touch said bubbles will become trapped within them, but there are a few methods of escape: either wait for the bubbles to pop on their own, or have another leader throw Pikmin at the bubbles to pop them. Leaders can also struggle to cause the bubble they are trapped in to pop. When overwhelmed, a Bubble-Blowing Blowhog will rear up on its hind legs before bucking off its attackers. A Bubble-Blowing Blowhog will resume its idle wandering behavior if left alone.

Bubble-Blowing Blowhogs bear a strong resemblance to other blowhogs like it. They differ only in coloration, having red eyes, a green-tipped trunk, and blue nails.

Defeating a Bubble-Blowing Blowhog is no more challenging than defeating a Fiery Blowhog or Watery Blowhog, especially since the creature is completely harmless on its own. Simply throw Pikmin onto it or charge Pikmin into it for a quick, easy kill. If it bucks them off, let them finish the creature off, and then free any trapped Pikmin and leaders.
