The Glowstool is an uncommon enemy in Pikmin: Under Lock and Key. A tall blue (and rarely pink) sporovid with a thin cap, they illuminate dark areas with their bioluminescence, acting as walking Glowcaps. Although harmless, small creatures like Sheargrubs and Dwarf Bulborbs follow it for it's light. When attacked the Glowstool flashes brightly, causing all pikmin to scatter in fear making it vital to take care of it's followers first. With it's longer body you are able to throw pikmin onto it and not it's cap, although it will more effectively shake them off and never trip too.

The Glimmerstool is a rather uncommon species of sporovid in Pikmin: Dual Worlds that, rather than producing spores like most other members of its family, instead merely produces light. Although harmless on its own, it can be somewhat of a nuisance as it bumps away Pikmin and leaders it collides with and may awaken sleeping enemies it passes by.
