The Deepbubble Webnode is a powerful awrapnid in Pikmin: Dual Worlds that lives with its young, the Slingnodes, in Salem Swamp, which it serves as the boss of. It is black with a blue wave pattern on the bottom, water droplet patterns on the sides, and algae on the top, and is surrounded by a bubble used as protection from predators. Located high in trees, the Deepbubble Webnode emerges from hiding only when all eight of its young are flung from their individual webs to that of their mother; each inadvertently snaps or weakens a load-bearing thread, eventually causing the web to fall from its original position down to the water of the swamp. There, the Deepbubble Webnode's web can be walked upon, although because of its adhesive qualities, only Green Pikmin, and leaders wearing the Slick Boots, can do so without getting stuck.
Once on the web, the Green Pikmin should be used to further weaken any intact supportive threads, and afterward, the Deepbubble Webnode be tricked into biting at the threads, severing them with its powerful jaws. Exercise caution while doing this, as the creature can eat up to five Pikmin at once. The Slingnodes, although not directly involved in the fight, can use their weight to pull portions of the web into the water, drowning any Pikmin above. Once at least four threads are severed, the combined weight of the Deepbubble Webnode and its offspring causes the web to snap, plunging into the water, but just before the remaining strands give way, the leaders and Pikmin involved in the conflict leap to dry land. As a last resort, the Deepbubble Webnode fights from the water, requiring the use of Blue Pikmin to attack it directly. From its aquatic position, it burrows into the sand below the surface, where it blows bubbles at its attackers and burrows underneath when they get too close. However, killing two Slingnodes will coax it into emerging, and upon reaching three-fourths health, it burrows into the sand again. This process must be repeated until the final four Slingnodes are killed, causing the Deepbubble Webnode to emerge once more to weave webs and launch them at its attackers. These webs are buoyant and float to the surface, taking any ensnared Pikmin with them, and upon them reaching the surface, the creature snatches the web and eats it, no matter whether or not any Pikmin are tangled in it. From this point, it gradually blows more bubbles and moves slightly the closer it is to dying.
