The Proximity Blister is an enemy in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze that is permanently affixed to the ground. When approached by leaders or Pikmin, it releases a flammable poisonous gas and surrounds itself with a cloud of it. After a few seconds, it creates a spark that immediately ignites the gas, creating a powerful explosion that kills nearby Pikmin. This attack requires the creature to rest for a short while before spewing gas once more, which provides an opportunity to toss Pikmin onto its body. It doesn't have a lot of health, but the opening between its attacks is fairly short, so swift movements must be made to bring it down.
