The Spidersting Chrysanthemum is a parasitic species of chrysanthemum in Pikmin: Dual Worlds that latches onto Burgeoning Spiderworts, leeches the nutrients from the berries, and injects a poisonous fluid into them. The fluid itself contains withering agents and significantly reduces the strength of the stem, causing the berries to fall off when the plant is disturbed. It's significantly smaller than its relatives, but a decent amount quicker. It will often lurk in the vicinity of the poisoned spiderwort, waiting to consume its weakened prey. It operates more by sound than sight, and as such, causing the berries of the spiderwort to fall and splatter on the ground will attract it to the location of the spiderwort. It will then proceed to attempt to eat them regardless of whether or not the berries were consumed. Should its prey put up a fight, the Spidersting Chrysanthemum may produce wither or poison from its mouth in the form of a mist, which may hinder its prey or outright kill them.
