A numbered gate is an obstacle appearing as a metallic indestructible gate with a dot-matrix display on its front. By killing enemies, collecting objects, or completing other tasks, the number on the display will decrease. Once the number reaches zero, the gate will lower.

Numbered gates are returning obstacles appearing in Pikmin 18,000,000,011. Due to it being made of metal, it can not be destroyed. A screen on either face denotes the number of enemies to defeat or treasures to collect for it to lower, most commonly after bosses and before the next sublevel's entrance.
