The Iridescent Gloom Beetle is a flint beetle in Pikmin 2... Again?. They are like a mix between the Iridescent Flint Beetle and Doodlebug and are gray with cyan eyes. The Iridescent Gloom Beetle will, like other flint beetles, suddenly come out of the ground when approached. Its movements are more unpredictable, making it hard to land thrown Pikmin on especially since it moves almost without stopping. Moreover, they trail wither gas, weakening any Pikmin that touch it except Lichen Pikmin. To compensate, the Iridescent Gloom Beetle will drop items every time it is hit.
