Notes

Olimar's observations

These very tall plants thrive in aquatic habitats, which is probably why I've been seeing them a lot. It seems a lot more water is around than it was last time I was here.

Cookin' with Louie

Inedible. And yet strangely delicious.

The Shoot is an unknown plant species in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. Being one of the tallest plants to be encountered, they resemble immature trees. Shoots may be found alone, or in clusters, and vary in size. They have no special abilities, as their main purpose is decoration.

Notes

Olimar's notes

This unknown species of plant has been theorized to be the sapling of a tree or some immature form of plant. But we haven't done enough research to confirm this theory. The Shoot has always been one of the most elusive plants on my journey to these planets. I've also taken note of new chrysanthemum species mimicking these plants. Perhaps there's a chrysanthemum mimic for every plant on this planet? It's a theory.

Louie's notes

I want to pull out hundreds of these from the ground and eat them raw. But... they're inedible. This plant is like a curse.

President’s notes

I have been inspired to plant trees all over Hocotate Freight. We will become the first company to go eco-friendly! At the small expense of 20 Poko cut from each employee's paycheck, of course...

Overlord’s thoughts

It's an immature tree sapling, for when Captain Olimar and his gang of goons find these notes. Actually, considering the things I've said about them, hopefully they don't.

In Pikmin: Shipwrecked Stargazers, Shoots appear primarily as decoration, just as they have in Pikmin 3. They're one of the only plants that have no effect on gameplay to be documented in the Piklopedia.

Notes

Olimar's notes

Truly a plant of mystery. All we can tell about this immature stalk is that one day, it will grow into a tree. Exactly what tree it is has yet to be discovered, as they are too young to be identified.

Louie's notes

Why can I not stop eating this delectable plant? It tastes good, but Hocotation digestive systems are not built for processing them. At all. Oh well...

Shoots appear in Pikspore and are found in many caves. For some odd reason, the frozen tunnels of the Cold Chasm are full of them.
