The Sourberry is a species of spiderwort that produces berries that fall to the ground on their own, bursting upon impact and splattering their irritating juice in their vicinity. Pikmin that come in contact with a Sourberry berry's juice will panic or suffer other effects.

The Sourberry is an obstacle pellet weed appearing in Pikmin 2... Again?. It resembles a smaller Burgeoning Spiderwort but has a green stem with four leaves, and a black berry on the end of the stem. When Pikmin or leaders pass by, the Sourberry will drop its berry, which will burst into a cloud of wither upon hitting the ground, weakening any Pikmin in range except Lichen Pikmin. The berry itself can be destroyed by Lichen Pikmin. After 20 seconds,the Sourberry will produce another berry. Once the Sourberry plant itself is destroyed, it will wilt and disappear alongside its berry if it hasn't been destroyed.
