The Coated Cannon Larva is a larval Diamond Cannon Beetle appearing in Pikmin 2... Again?. It is a lithopod larva, and so resembles other larval lithopods, with four purple legs, a cyan-and-blue body, and red eyes, but with a body coated in crystal. The Coated Cannon Larva behaves similarly to the Armored Cannon Larva, being burrowed in the ground and emerging to spit crystal nodules that roll in a straight line when Pikmin and leaders come by, crushing any except the Rock Pikmin. If the nodule hits a wall, it'll shatter into three smaller nodules and ricochet. Because the Coated Cannon Larva itself is coated in crystal, Rock Pikmin are needed to destroy it.
