Obstacle

Mine carts are useable obstacles that move along rails and may be filled or empty. If empty, Pikmin and leaders can ride them as a mode of transportation, and if the mine cart is moving fast enough when it reaches the bumpers at the end of its track, they will be flung in that direction. Anything in the way of a mine cart if it is moving at a sufficient speed will be run over.

Mine carts are new obstacle introduced in Pikmin 2... Again?. It resembles a generic mine cart, being out of wood and metal and with four wheels. Because they are empty, Pikmin and leaders can jump in one to ride it. Any amount of leaders and up to 100 Pikmin can fit in a mine cart at a time, and once this limit is reached or five seconds pass since they got in, the mine cart will start to move along its rail, gradually but quickly accelerating to a high speed. Once the mine cart hits the bumper at the end of its track, any Pikmin and leaders riding it will be flung in the direction the mine cart was moving, which may seem dangerous but is not as there is always solid ground to land on.
