The Gloomy Cottonflight is a meggpie in Pikmin 2... Again?. It is like other meggpies, has a black coloration, and is controlled by the parasitic Gloomshroom. When trying to flee from Pikmin, a patch of wither forms on the ground behind it, but disappears once it lands on the ground. When it dies, it reverts to the species of meggpie it originally was.
