A glowseed is the spore of a Common Glowcap. It can serve as a valuable light source in dark locations, and planted to grow a Common Glowcap.

Glowseeds are seeds belonging to a species of glowcap, specifically the Common Glowcap, in Pikmin 2... Again?. They resemble small pink Common Glowcaps but with a stubby, rounded stem. They appear only in the Blackout Facility, where they are used to illuminate dark sublevels with their gentle light, and only Lichen Pikmin will carry them. If a Dark Pikmin carrying a glowseed dies, the glowseed will quickly grow into a Common Glowcap where it fell.
