Drones are a returning obstacle appearing in Pikmin 2... Again?. They resemble their Pikmin 4 incarnation, resembling drones with a platform on top. They move vertically, horizontally, or up and down, but they can also move diagonally in any direction. Additionally, each drone has a unique coloration that indicates how it moves; yellow for vertically, blue for horizontally, red for up and down, and green for diagonally. Some drones can be controlled through remote controls, specifically in alternate sublevels, where a leader has to step on the buttons to send the Pikmin onto the drone to a sticker.
