A white bramble gate in Pikmin 2.

Bramble gates are the most basic type of gate, other than dirt gates. Any Pikmin can damage a bramble gate. There exist two types of these gates: white and black. Black bramble gates are harder to break down than white ones, and bramble gates found aboveground are generally much sturdier than those underground. Bramble gates can also be found with gas pipes within, requiring White Pikmin to take them down. Additionally, in some fanon games, bramble gates may have fire geysers embedded within, requiring Red Pikmin to clear them.

Rather than using Pikmin, bramble gates can alternatively be destroyed using bomb rocks, white ones requiring two and black ones four. In some fanon games, bramble gates may also be destroyed using fire or another source of destruction.

Bramble gates are a type of gate appearing in Pikmin: Attack of the Breadbugs. They appear only in the Land of Wonders, never in Dangerous Depths. Some bramble gates are submerged in water, and Goolixes can pass through them.

One white bramble gate guards the exit of the Beginner Territory, five are located throughout the Arctic Territory and are very brittle, and the three in the Loaf Territory evenly distribute the Giant Breadbugs there. As for black bramble gates, three are located within the Inferno Territory, seven are distributed about the Marsh Territory and are difficult to demolish, and one guards the Yellow Onion in the Spark Territory. Poison bramble gates exist only in the black variety, and five of them exist within the Toxin Territory.

Though any Pikmin can be used to take down the charred black gates initially, only Red Pikmin can finish the job because of the flames engulfing the top of it. Fire gates are only located in two areas: one is in the Site of Redemption, and there are two more in Treasure Land.
