Attacks Eats and crushes Pikmin, drops spiderwort berries

The Ancient Bulblax is a remarkably-aged Emperor Bulblax that is as large as it is old. A multitude of plant life grows upon its back, including several Burgeoning Spiderworts. The Ancient Bulblax's voice is weak and its legs are frail, and so it can not roar nor jump. Its eyesight and hearing are also poor, which causes the mighty beast to blindly wander around its territory in search of its prey. Because of its sheer size, the Ancient Bulblax can use its tongue to eat an insurmountable quantity of Pikmin at once. As the behemoth walks, the berries of the Burgeoning Spiderworts on its back fall off, roll along the curvature of the creature's backside, and burst upon impact with the ground below, which may stun or topple anything standing nearby. Pikmin and leaders are most usually affected by this, but enemies too can be affected.

The Ancient Bulblax has pasty, wrinkled, sagging skin that is complimented by dark chapped lips. Burgeoning Spiderworts, along with multiple species of plants, grow on its back. The Ancient Bulblax has dull and worn claws, although its feet are quite large. It also possesses a rough, sticky tongue which is used to eat high numbers of Pikmin.

Although a battle against the Ancient Bulblax may appear to be an unwinnable conflict, it is nothing more than an old Emperor Bulblax and thus shares its weaknesses with them. One must still be wary of its increased size, however. As mentioned above, the Ancient Bulblax's back harbors a small number of Burgeoning Spiderworts. The plants' berries, which drop each time the Ancient Bulblax takes a step, have an effect on any creature they land nearby or on; pink berries will temporarily strengthen Pikmin with the essence of ultra-spicy spray while purple berries contain the essence of ultra-bitter spray and will temporarily petrify leaders, their Pikmin, and even enemies.
