The Spicy Moletar is a species of numbouse appearing in Pikmin Evolution. It shares the standard Moletar's appearance, being a rotund rodent with sharp frontal claws and a tube-like nose. However, the Spicy Moletar has deep red fur, olive green claws, and a gray tube-like nose. The Spicy Moletar lives in similar habitats to the standard Moletar, however, while the standard Moletar lives in cooler climates, the Spicy Moletar lives in warmer ones. The Spicy Moletar also shares similar habits, as it lives in dens similar in shape to the Breadbug, often has issues with sneezing out dirt and sand it has inhaled when digging, and is also very territorial.

What makes the Spicy Moletar unique is the vegetables it prefers, as while the standard Moletar likes to hoard turnips, the Spicy Moletar likes to hoard peppers. It also differs in that it uses five at a time rather than three. Specifically, the Spicy Moletar uses red, yellow, orange, green, and purple peppers during combat. The red and yellow peppers are shot out of the Spicy Moletar's nose, and it often alternates between both types. The red pepper is very spicy, and when it bursts open, it reveals an oil that ignites on contact with oxygen, leaving a flaming trap. Meanwhile, the yellow pepper is very tangy and leaves behind a very sour juice which has electrical properties. As a result, alternating between Elixer Pikmin and Wisp Pikmin is key when fighting the Spicy Moletar from afar. Up close, the Spicy Moletar uses orange and green peppers, which it hammers into the ground to splatter their contents. The orange pepper is quite oily and leaves behind an oil slick that ignites when exposed to fire, making the battlefield much more hazardous overall. The green pepper, on the other hand, is quite pungent and leaves behind a gas that causes panic among Pikmin due to its foul stench. Finally, when at low health, the Spicy Moletar will eat a sweet purple pepper to restore half of its total health, magnifying its already immense health pool.

Overall, the Spicy Moletar can prove to be a more dynamic foe than the standard Moletar, but they also share the same weakness of their issues with sneezing. Since the Spicy Moletar eats a lot of spicy foods, having it cough from smoke is a very viable strategy; having it inhale a purple syrup is an excellent trick as the poisonous smoke causes the Spicy Moletar to pop out of its den as it hacks and wheezes, revealing a soft belly to attack for extra damage. When the Spicy Moletar dies, it leaves behind a bronze, silver, or gold pepper that each has its own weight, seed, and sparklium value. The gold pepper, in particular, is worth the same amount of sparklium as a small piece of refuse, so hunting the Spicy Moletar for their golden peppers may prove to be an unorthodox but worthwhile money-making scheme.
