I have found the resources I need to create a country scramble on this planet. There's eggs, meat, and even some fruit for breakfast. There are some other eggs too large for cooking, however. – Louie's voyage log

Country Citadel is the first cave in Golden Spring in the Pikmin: Interstellar Cryptid DLC Operation: Rubber Ducky Overboard. It is located within a barnhouse and is primarily agriculture-themed. Multiple enemies are based on various forms of livestock like sheep, pigs, and chickens. Completion of this cave to its full extent will net the "Time For Breakfast!" badge.

How to reach

There is an ice gate in front of the entrance to this cave. Normally, this would necessitate Lichen Pikmin, which are only found much later in Verdant Ridgeland. However, a Fruiting Pugweed bearing red berries is in front of this gate. If Moss had been recruited from the Valley of Harvest, she can use the berries to spew a fireball attack at the gate, destroying it instantly.

Sublevel 1

The small starting alcove of the cave is on a ledge, connected to the rest of the sublevel by a hay pile. In the center are multiple Snow Bulborbs surrounding a Sticky Blowhog, which could leave any Fox Pikmin and Moss at the mercy of the predators. A cardboard box must be pushed to access an alcove with a slope leading up to higher land. Beware of the Desiccated Skitter Leaves in the trek toward a square-shaped alcove with two Female Shooting Spiners surrounding an Insect Condo. The hole deeper is to the east of the Snow Bulborb chamber, with a Clicking Slurker hovering over it. A few piles of raw material are scattered about the sublevel.

Sublevel 2

After landing in this sublevel, the squad will see a twisting ramp leading up to a platform adjacent to a clipboard. Pull it down with the Pikmin and defeat the Arachnode behind it to find a chamber with a Hairy Bulborb, some Fiery Dweevils, and a pile of raw fragments. The Hairy Bulborb holds a Tremendous Sniffer that the Fiery Dweevils might snatch up. Another clipboard must be pulled down to access the next chamber, as it provides a bridge over a gap that drops the squad down to the first floor. Two of Little Clucka groups are in this chamber, and caution is advised when defeating them as the two groups might converge into one if mishandled. The hole to the next sublevel is beyond these chicks.

Sublevel 3

Six particularly weak dirt gates line the walls of this petting zoo-like sublevel, similar to the corridor-style cave units with six alcoves in certain tile sublevels in Pikmin 2. Clockwise from bottom-left, they contain a nectar egg with a Sunsquish, a Tusked Blowhog, six Bulborb Larvae, a Hairy Bulborb, a Mock Bottom, and the hole deeper. If all nine enemies are slain, a numbered gate at the end of the corridor will lower, revealing a pentagon-shaped arena with a fine layer of hay coating the floor. A Titan Blowhog lurks in this arena. If it is slain, one of the data files needed to triangulate Louie's location will be released.

Sublevel 4

This sublevel resembles an open forest area. It's largely shapeless with a few alcoves containing objects like nectar eggs and Honeywisps. The Withering Blowhog that floats above can be a nuisance, but if defeated, will grant the Portable Sunset. Beware the hidden Creeping Chrysanthemum, as it can be a problem if crossed. The hole deeper is slightly off of the center of the area, with a Scorchcake adjacent to it on the opposite side.

Sublevel 5

There's a small clearing in a forest connected to a barnhouse corridor. Multiple Little Cluckas have congregated together in the open area and should be dealt with appropriately. The Little Cluckas have congregated around a Fruiting Pugweed that sprouts yellow berries, and this is needed for the next area. Inside the barn, an electrode can be found that Moss can activate using the electric force field she can generate from the yellow berries, lowering a switch gate. Beyond the switch gate is a rectangular area with matted hay and two Fiery Blowhogs, alongside a button and the hole deeper. The button lowers a gate in the forest that opens access to a Citrus Lump.

At last, the very last sublevel is in sight. Resembling a chicken coop, a few scattered Little Cluckas are roaming the sublevel. In the center is a massive nest filled with boulderous eggs. On top is the Cluckasaur, sleeping with no visible concern. Once engaged, it will get up and start fighting the squad, and her clutch of eggs will start hatching at an alarming rate. Defeat the perilous poultry to receive a data file concerning the Forlorn Fortress. This permanently unlocks that area for exploration, broadening horizons and allowing for more discoveries. The exit vent is north of the nest.
