The Amphoric Greasponge is a distant relative of the Glacial Helmuck appearing in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze. Its shell is soft and shaped like a hollow cylinder. As the creature moves, it leaves a trail of oil that makes Pikmin slip and slide when they walk on it. When approached, the creature also occasionally gushes out a shower of oil drops from the top of its shell to splatter on the ground, leaving small puddles; Pikmin will start to drown if an oil drop lands on them, even Blue Pikmin. The Amphoric Greasponge's entire shell is oozing with oil which makes it too slick for most Pikmin to attack, but Burr Pikmin can easily grab onto it. Be careful not to throw them directly atop the liquid pooled inside the shell itself, however.
