The Lesser Spotted Jellyfloat is an enemy in Pikmin 2. They resemble large, blue, floating jellyfish with yellow spots that float through the air. They attack the Pikmin by inhaling them and trapping them inside. The Pikmin will then be digested over a considerably long period of time, specifically 1 Pikmin per 30 seconds, but can be saved by defeating it. This creature is related to the Greater Spotted Jellyfloat. Lesser Spotted Jellyfloats sing a faint song that is easiest to hear when music is turned off in the options menu. Upon death, they swirl around the air and brilliantly explode in an array of small sparkling lights.
Notes
Olimar's Notes
This native jellyfloat is indigenous to the region. Unfortunately, it is currently endangered, as its habitat is being overwhelmed by immigrant species.
Louie's Notes
Similar in taste and texture to gelatin, this jiggling mass of jelly can be sculpted into all kinds of creative shapes. As a bonus, it also doubles as a professional-grade hair gel. It's the perfect cool summer treat!

If these are left alive above ground for too long they will dry up and not yield what they had eaten. They are less harmless in PR than in Pikmin 2.

This article or section presents information pertaining to Pikmin: Global Breakdown, a fanon game created by Zoadra. |
In Pikmin: Global Breakdown, these creatures are extinct with the greater cousins. This is due to the rapid climate change and that they were diminishing in numbers anyway.
