The Pyroclasmic Slooch is a slug-like creature that is covered in a combustible slime and leaves behind a dangerous trail of fire as it moves. In addition to burning Pikmin, it can also eat them. While extinguished, such as from water, it can be touched safely and can not produce a trail of fire until it contacts another fire source to reignite it. When killed, the slooch ceases to burn, allowing all types of Pikmin to carry it.
