In Pikmin Eco, the Grabbit is a weak enemy only found in the first area, the Cloven Gardens, and can be defeated by landing a single Pikmin landing on top of it. They hardly do damage to leaders or their Pikmin: they wander in an area, occasionally hopping up high and hovering for a short two seconds before dropping to the ground. It makes shorter hops in the air to try landing on Pikmin, similar to the Yellow Wollywog only much weaker and less ranged.
Notes
In-game entry
- “This very small creature is another example of evolutionary mimicry, as it strongly resembles the juvenile stage of most scarpanid species. This could be due to the fact that juvenile scarpanids are highly poisonous, and the Grabbit's body evolved to mimic that. However, unlike other mimicking species, this specimen doesn't fool the scarpanid species, and some specimens are actually hunted by adult scarpanids. As such, they're hardly ever found in the same areas.”
