Iguana is the Ceramic Mawdad that appears in Pikmin: Antarctic Survival. She is encountered in the Ruins of Awakening, where she has taken up residence in a large chamber full of clay pots made of a similar material to her own armor.

Iguana is a fierce treasure hoarder, as she amasses piles of resources she considers to be valuable or precious, and then reacts with extreme aggression toward anyone who tries to take her treasures. She loves to crawl atop her piles of treasure and even sleep on them to be near them at all times. This love of treasure makes Iguana seem quite similar to a stereotypical European dragon, a greedy creature that hoards treasure and often sleeps in piles of its riches.

If Iguana's armor is shattered in battle, the creatures of the Diamond Settlement can craft a new set of armor for her out of raw material.

Iguana is named after the iguana, a creature that the Ceramic Mawdad bears a slight resemblance to due to its reptilian features.

Attacks Traps and eats Pikmin

The Ceramic Mawdad is a powerful creature typically encountered as a mini-boss. It is about half the length of an Armored Mawdad, and has a very similar appearance, but its skin is dark brown rather than dark blue and its armored shell is formed from light brown clay instead of crystal. Its behaviors are nearly identical to those of the Armored Mawdad, but it is much smaller and thus cannot eat as many Pikmin at once. Similar to its larger relative, the Ceramic Mawdad scuttles around the area it inhabits and traps Pikmin between its clay mandibles before eating them. The main distinction between the Armored Mawdad and Ceramic Mawdad is in the material that forms its armor. The Ceramic Mawdad has armor made from hardened clay instead of crystal, and as such Rock Pikmin cannot shatter its protective armor. Instead, each piece of armor must be destroyed by a rush from Oatchi or some other creature with a rush ability, or blown up by a bomb rock. Each segment of armor typically takes from two to three hits to completely destroy, with each hit breaking off a part of it, similar to the Armored Mawdad's armor. Once the Ceramic Mawdad's protective armor is destroyed, its skin can be targeted, which is how the creature is damaged.
