A scrummy bone is an item usable and adored by space dogs such as Oatchi, which will instinctively fetch and eat any thrown scrummy bones. They can be crafted with raw material, or earned by training Oatchi with Shepherd. Olimar uses a scrummy bone to befriend Moss by tossing her one.
When Oatchi is hurt, one scrummy bone will restore his health to full. However, for every scrummy bone Oatchi eats while he is in perfect health, up to 5, his health is temporarily boosted over maximum, though it can easily be lost by him getting hurt.
Notably, as they are objects, some enemies can interact with scrummy bones, either by eating them or carrying them around.
