The Chilly Valley, also known by Yuki's name for it, “Mama's Special Park”, is the first area in Pikmin: Antarctic Survival. This area serves as the game's tutorial area, with the first exploration missions being conducted here, and it is also the area in which the Diamond Settlement is located.

Layout

The Chilly Valley is an overall flat region with snow blanketing the ground throughout the area and occasional tree stumps and plants such as tall shoots and clover patches protruding from the snow and decorating the landscape. The region is also rich in Pellet Posies, which grow abundantly and function as a primary source of food for the creatures of the valley. This area has a lower elevation compared to most of the surrounding areas, and more frequent deep snow drifts, which often contain pellets, resources, or other items buried beneath.
