In Pikmin: Dual Worlds, the Shrieking Lithe Grub is, as its name implies, the smallest lithopod discovered to date. However, while it itself is small, its voice is not, and it can create a loud boom sound to deter predators. Pikmin that happen to be near it will panic, running around. The Shrieking Lithe Grub has a bright color scheme, having a blue body with a green-spotted underbelly, and a red-and-yellow mouth and blowhole. The top and bottom of the dips between its body segments are respectively teal and dark green. It has light blue eyes with violet pupils, and its feet have a gradient from blue to lime green from joint to base.
