Its thin, pointy scales are a light brown, and its feathers, both on its head and under the scales, are dark green. It's twice the size of a [[Pileated Snagret]], though it doesn't share its relative's strong leg. It attacks by pecking at and eating [[Pikmin family|Pikmin]] it catches, also depleting a hit [[leader]]s health by one-sixteenth. Whenever it shakes Pikmin off of itself, it also shakes off some of its loose scales, which can [[Blunt force|impale]] or depetal Pikmin they land on. The creature takes significant damage when its head is attacked, though due to its loose scales it can be dealt damage elsewhere. After reaching two-thirds of its total health, it occasionally slams its body on the ground and deliberately shakes off loose scales.
