To do so, it latches onto the host, absorbing its genetic material along with nutrients, taking the host's traits and reducing its health. A Shifty Elementick takes only five seconds to steal a trait and thus can have several victims in a short timeframe. Traits it can take can be [[Hazard|element]]al abilities or unique offensive or defensive measures, although with every trait it steals, the slower it moves and the bigger it gets. Eventually, it can burst as a result of its greed, spreading its elementally charged insides everywhere, killing itself in the process.
