The Glowstool is an uncommon enemy in Pikmin 4: Curse of Astromountain, being found in only three underground areas: Mushroom Marsh, Lightshow Lake, and Toadstool Nether. They illuminate dark areas with their bioluminescence, acting essentially as a large, walking Common Glowcap. They're harmless, and they steer clear of other enemies so they're not a big bouncy blockade.

The Glimmerstool is a rather uncommon species of sporovid in Pikmin: Dual Worlds that, rather than producing spores like most other members of its family, instead merely produces light. Although harmless on its own, it can be somewhat of a nuisance as it bumps away Pikmin and leaders it collides with and may awaken sleeping enemies it passes by.
