Pikmin

Red Pikmin

Red Pikmin deal more damage than other Pikmin types but cannot withstand cold or tropical environments. They fight better than other Pikmin but die instantly to ice and water.

Blue Pikmin

Blue Pikmin deal more damage underwater than other Pikmin types and can swim, unlike other Pikmin. Blue Pikmin die instantly to Ice and Poison. They are completely immune to water and can save other Pikmin from drowning.

Yellow Pikmin

Yellow Pikmin deal less damage than most other Pikmin types but can be thrown high in the air. They have increased digging speeds and can float on water. They are immune to electricity, but die instantly to heat and are blown away more easily by air.

Black Pikmin

Black Pikmin deal massive amounts of Blunt Force damage, but can't be thrown very high or far. Black Pikmin cannot be blown away by air, but die instantly to electricity and water.

White Pikmin

White Pikmin deal very little damage and are very fast. When an enemy eats them, they will take poison damage. White Pikmin are immune to poison but die instantly to blunt force and fire. White Pikmin can sense hidden treasures and do poorly in tropical heat.

Rock Pikmin

Rock Pikmin deal more blunt force damage than most other Pikmin types and are immune to blunt force and can float on lava. They are highly resistant to fire, but not immune to it. Rock Pikmin are immune to electricity and can also float on water. Rock Pikmin cannot latch onto targets and do not fit through iron fences. Rock Pikmin are eaten faster than other Pikmin types and are more stupid, often getting stuck in random places.

Winged Pikmin

Winged Pikmin are immune to air attacks and do more aerial damage. Winged Pikmin die instantly to all hazards but get pushed instead of crushed or buried. Winged Pikmin cannot carry an object with regular Pikmin weighing down on it, and regular Pikmin cannot hold onto objects that Winged Pikmin are carrying.

Bulbmin

Bulbmin are immune to every type of hazard except for lava, but they cannot be taken out in the light. Bulbmin can only be used in caves, at sunset, and in night expeditions. Bulbmin continuously bite enemies as they jump around it, instead of latching onto them and attacking.

Green Pikmin

Green Pikmin are immune to acid and are highly resistant to poison. Green Pikmin do not do well in non-tropical areas and will die instantly to any hazard when out of their natural habitat. Green Pikmin can save any Pikmin from being sucked into acid. Green Pikmin are also immune to quicksand.

Orange Pikmin

Orange Pikmin are highly resistant to all hazards, but move slower than most other Pikmin types. Orange Pikmin have small claws that allow them to climb walls, and hang onto them if they were to be thrown off a cliff. Orange Pikmin do slightly more damage than other Pikmin types.

Earthen Pikmin

Earthen Pikmin are immune to blunt force and gain a shield when shoved into the ground, as they pull dirt out of the ground when they surface or are pulled out. Earthen Pikmin are also immune to mud and are not slowed down by it. Earthen Pikmin will get spat out if eaten with a dirt or mud shield. When dismissed, Earthen Pikmin will shove themselves into the ground and pull themselves out to regenerate a shield if they do not have one.

Tropical Pikmin

Tropical Pikmin are immune to high heat and live in warm, tropical climates. Because of this, they cannot be brought out in cold areas, but hot or mild climate areas are acceptable. Tropical Pikmin are weak to Ice and Poison, and will instantly die to acid. Tropical Pikmin move faster than most other Pikmin types, only being beaten by White Pikmin. Tropical Pikmin have a longer throw distance but lower throw height, and can glide through the air with their webbed arms and legs. Tropical Pikmin also have the ability to swim and float on water, but can drown when hit with water attacks. Tropical Pikmin will panic enemies that eat them, as they taste incredibly hot and sour.

Ghost Pikmin

Ghost Pikmin are found at any time of the day and can be brought out from the Ghost Onion at night. The amount of available Ghost Pikmin is equal to the amount of Pikmin that have died along the way. Ghost Pikmin are immune to all hazards and are ignored by all enemies. They can only pick up objects in night expeditions, and are necessary for beating them, given that the player hasn't unlocked the Bulbmin onion. Ghost Pikmin can be used to attack enemies at all times of the day, although they are not strong at all. Enemies killed by more than two ghost Pikmin will become a singular generic pellet.
