Plot

There really is no plot, just you are a Bulborb in the the Forest of Hope (the one by where the Eternal Fuel Dynamo is) and that you eat Pikmin for Points.

Pikmin

Pikmin play an interesting role in this game. You are a Bulborb, and you eat them for points. Pikmin can only deal 1 damage max in one hit, 2 for reds, 5 for purples. Otherwise, everything is the same. A Pikmin eaten gives 1 point, purples give 10 points.
