Pikmin: The Great Range is a fanon Pikmin game made by CJ-Does-Pikmin. It is an open-world ranch/safari game, like Slime Rancher or Pokémon, and takes place on a series of small, seemingly uninhabited islands on PNF-404 that are connected to a larger "hub" island and revealed to be teeming with life.

Plot

The story begins with a group of Chikilites, natives of the planet Chikilatsha, conversing at a table when the president, Kokodomo, stands up and points at the player character, alerting them, and begins talking directly to them.

You, newbie, are the newest officer, and I think you can prove to us one more thing before we get you higher like you've always dreamed. You, yes you, must go to the Great Range, and save this planet! But know that you are not alone. I'm sending the main treasure hunter officers too!

After closing the text box, the camera pans up to a skylight with a bright blue sky above. The next scene shows the player character saying goodbye to Kokodomo before climbing into a big ship, the Big Ranger, with the rest of the treasure hunters.

As the ship begins to take off, the camera changes positions to face the president and the player's colleagues, showing them all happily waving as the camera rises, and begins to fade to black.

Upon fade-in, the ship floats through space when suddenly, a big meteor hurtles into the Big Ranger and sends it flying back off to PNF-404... The crew are all separated, and the ship's parts are scattered all across the Great Range.
