The Dusty Abandon is the sixth area in Pikmin 44. It is split into two sections: the first is based on the porch of a house in an abandoned desert town, and the second takes place just outside the town. This area primarily utilizes Desert Pikmin, which are discovered here, as well as Jungle Pikmin, Yellow Pikmin, and Red Pikmin. Winged Pikmin and Purple Pikmin are also utilized to a lesser extent. The area also contains 48 aboveground treasures and features 6 caves.
