The arachnorb family is a species of creatures that resemble giant spiders.

Members

Baldy Long Legs

P3 Baldy Long Legs.jpg
Main article: Baldy Long Legs

The Baldy Long Legs is the only arachnorb that never stops to rest, save to shake off Pikmin. Although simpler to defeat than the Shaggy Long Legs, its lack of resting and constant roaming make it a little harder.

Beady Long Legs

P2 Beady Long Legs.png
Main article: Beady Long Legs

The Beady Long Legs is the most basic of arachnorbs. The only attack it has is stomping around, but its large feet make this more dangerous than it sounds. Its body is its primary weak point; therefore, defeating it is easiest with Yellow Pikmin because they can be thrown higher, although other Pikmin types can also be used. The alternative strategy is to throw Purple Pikmin at its feet.

Beady Short Legs

Beady Short Legs.jpg
Main article: Beady Short Legs

The Beady Short Legs is the larval stage of the Beady Long Legs. It is about the size of a standard Red Bulborb, and orange in color, along with more contrast in its colors. It still crushes Pikmin, but at a shorter range.

Climbing Long Legs

Climbing Long Legs.jpg
Main article: Climbing Long Legs

The Climbing Long Legs is a blue arachnorb that is capable of climbing on walls and ceilings. While it lost the ability to crush Pikmin, it is capable of squeezing them with its three-clawed feet instead. It likes to surprise its prey with an aerial attack.

Crackled Long Legs

Crackled Long Legs.png
Main article: Crackled Long Legs

The Crackled Long Legs is a large arachnorb covered in tree bark as a defense against enemy attacks. It behaves like any other arachnorb outside of this detail, and it can only be damaged after its armor is broken off, revealing its weaker abdomen.

Cranky Long Legs

Cranky Long Legs.jpg
Main article: Cranky Long Legs

The Cranky Long Legs is a close relative of the Raging Long Legs. It can crush Pikmin with its wide, flat feet and can scald them with the steam it emits from its body.

Creeping Long Legs

Main article: Creeping Long Legs

Creeping Long Legs is a average-sized spider-like creature found underground. It is able to create webs, as evident throughout the areas where they are found, though it doesn't actively use the webs to attack. Its main method of attack, like many other arachnorbs, is to crush Pikmin under its feet, though it can also crawl on walls and ceilings, sometimes dropping down onto its prey.

Daddy Long Legs

Daddy Long Legs.png
Main article: Daddy Long Legs

The Daddy Long Legs is an arachnorb known for its extraordinarily long legs. Its body and joints are black, its skin is rough and leathery, and its legs are gray and have hairy knees. Pikmin can climb the creature's legs to reach its main body to attack it, which is much too far up to reach, even with Yellow Pikmin. However, the white hairs on its knees prevent Pikmin from climbing, and hidden in these hairs are white spores that poison all but White Pikmin. Therefore, the only Pikmin type that can reach the Daddy Long Legs' main body are White Pikmin, and so they are recommended to fight this creature with.

Demi-Legs

Main article: Demi-Legs

The Demi-Legs is an arachnorb relative to the Man-at-Legs that strongly resembles an Onion. After being awoken, this iron-plated arachnorb will immediately start chasing down nearby targets and will occasionally try to stab them with an extendible spear that emerges from underneath its body. This spear has a long range and can skewer up to ten Pikmin in a single strike, but it has a charge-up time that allows one to safely move out of the way before it attacks. The Demi-Legs is also capable of flight via the Onion-like propeller on top of its head, and it will do so when aggravated so it can fly out of the range of Pikmin attacks.

Diamond Long Legs

Main article: Diamond Long Legs

The Diamond Long Legs is a blue arachnorb with a crystalline-coating around his abdomen shaped into a blue diamond. The Diamond Long Legs cannot be fought without using Rock Pikmin. Rock Pikmin are also immune to being crushed and stabbed, only making them more useful in fighting the creature. Whenever its armor is broken, shards of it will come crashing down to the ground, impaling any Pikmin unfortunate enough to be under them as they land. The coating will eventually reform and must be broken again.

Dwarf Long Legs

Dwarf Long Legs.png
Main article: Dwarf Long Legs

The Dwarf Long Legs is a stronger arachnorb. When it shakes off Pikmin, it will start rushing around and smash its main body into the ground, attempting to crush Pikmin and leaders. It will only roar when in a frenzy, which will make Pikmin panic.

Flaming Long Legs

Main article: Flaming Long Legs

The Flaming Long Legs is an arachnorb that is on fire.

Giga Long Legs

Giga Long Legs.jpg
Main article: Giga Long Legs

The Giga Long Legs is a colossal arachnorb. The squares on its head are actually solar panels.

Greedy Long Legs

Main article: Greedy Long Legs

The Greedy Long Legs is very similar in appearance to the Beady Long Legs, but its entire body is gold in color, it has triangular blue markings on its leg segments, and it has spikes covering its feet. The sphere that makes up its body can be lowered on a chain from where the legs intersect, and can also be opened into two halves. Unlike other arachnorbs, the Greedy Long Legs moves only in cardinal directions, and never moves diagonally. The Greedy Long Legs' signature attack is to lower its spherical body on its chain and use it as a wrecking ball, which will move along with the beast and smash Pikmin in its path.

Heavy Weapons Legs

Main article: Heavy Weapons Legs

The Heavy Weapons Legs is a species of arachnorb that highly resembles a Man-at-Legs, but is red in color with a large red eye and carries both a machine gun and shotgun. It uses the machine gun to fire at distant targets with a steady barrage of bullets, and it uses the shotgun in close combat, often with devastating results.

Hex-at-Legs

Hex-at-Legs.png
Main article: Hex-at-Legs

The Hex-at-Legs is a six-legged arachnorb capable of walking along walls and ceilings with ease. It also has a larger, flattened area attached to its abdomen, giving it a top-like appearance. It is incapable of stomping onto Pikmin thanks to its much smaller feet. It carries its abdomen higher off of the ground, making it unreachable. After a while, it will climb up the walls and move around on the ceiling, completely out of sight except for its shadow. When a leader or their Pikmin are underneath its shadow for long enough, it will drop down and slam onto the ground, causing a tremor to occur which can briefly paralyze the leader if they're still on the ground.

Luminous Long Legs

Luminous Long Legs.png
Main article: Luminous Long Legs

Structurally similar to its close relative, the Beady Long Legs, the Luminous Long Legs' exoskeleton is a shiny black color, and its head, feet, and the joints of its legs are able to glow brightly. Whenever this creature stomps the ground, it creates a small flash of light that startles Pikmin within the radius and sends them scattering.

Lunar Long Legs

PF Lunar Long Legs.png
Main article: Lunar Long Legs

The Lunar Long Legs is an enormous arachnorb with a small satellite for a head and four moss-covered boulder feet. The actual head is bright purple; it is surrounded by dirt, grass patches, and rocks and volcanoes. After taking sufficient damage to the legs, the creature will shake off Pikmin and gravitate the group toward its lunar surface. It can erupt local volcanoes and engulf a great deal of the surface in lava, shoot geysers or rain its clouds to drench the area in water, have its storm clouds strike lightning onto the surface, outgas poisonous gases or pollutants, or reach up one of its legs to stomp on a leader.

Man-at-Legs 9000

Man-at-Legs 9000.jpg
Main article: Man-at-Legs 9000

The MAL 9000 is a highly advanced version of Man-at-Legs. The plating covering the creature is unaffected by Pikmin attacks, and the creature's only weakpoint is its single red ocular lens. The weapon wielded by the MAL 9000 is strong enough to punch through cover.

Man-at-Legs

P2 Man-at-Legs.jpg
Main article: Man-at-Legs

The Man-at-Legs, unlike most other known arachnorbs, is a biomechanical creature and has very spindly feet that can't squash Pikmin. It moves around quickly and stops only to use its blaster-like weapon to retaliate when it has been agitated with attacks. It has its flaws, though; there is a visible laser it uses to target the Pikmin, making it obvious where it's going to shoot. These enemies are usually found surrounded by barriers and obstacles that can be used as shields against the blasts.

Mini Long Legs

Main article: Mini Long Legs

This miniature species of arachnorb is a rarity. It appears from a distance, but it will crawl away after a while and out of range. It doesn't offer seeds or value, but it does drop nectar upon death.

Minute Legs

Minute Legs.jpg
Main article: Minute Legs

The Minute Legs is a precursor of Man-at-Legs. The Man-at-Legs was a more advanced version of this model, which has an extremely inaccurate aim and is a mindless enemy that acts upon some kind of mechanical instinct.

Mossy Long Legs

Main article: Mossy Long Legs

The Mossy Long Legs is bumpy and brown, covered in green moss. Plants and mushrooms grow on it in small patches. The Mossy Long Legs walks slower than the Beady Long Legs, but it has an additional attack: when it ducks down, it also opens up its main body as if it died, dropping a blob of acid onto anything below it.

Pik-at-Legs

Main article: Pik-at-Legs

The Pik-at-Legs is a Man-at-Legs that has been overtaken by parasitic Pikmin, much like with the Bulbmin. Every group of young Pik-at-Legs is led by one mature individual that will attack Pikmin and leaders on sight. They can be taken out of caves in which they were found when a certain upgrade has been collected, and they then can be stored in the ship. Unlike most other Pikmin types, a group of Pik-at-Legs can survive being left behind after sunset and can be recovered the followed day.

Planetoid Long Legs

Planetoid Long Legs.jpg
Main article: Planetoid Long Legs

The Planetoid Long Legs is an enormous yellow arachnorb. Due to its sheer size, the Planetoid Long Legs' entire body cannot be seen at once. Its feet are the main focus of the fight against it, and its main body can be seen when phase one of the battle comes to an end. During the end of the fight, it releases a Defense Turret, a creature that resembles an Armored Cannon Beetles.

Puffy Long Legs

Puffy Long Legs.png
Main article: Puffy Long Legs

The Puffy Long Legs is a member of the arachnorb family that relies heavily on poison to deter or kill its attackers. Every step it takes results in a cloud of poisonous spores bursting outward around the foot that hits the ground. Another of its attacks is opening its spherical central body, out of which spews poisonous spores.

Quicker Long Legs

Quicker Long Legs.jpg
Main article: Quicker Long Legs

The Quicker Long Legs moves at five times the speed of a Beady Long Legs. When its health reaches one-quarter, the Quicker Long Legs will execute a devastating attack where it will spin like a top on the spike underneath its main body, extending its legs to hit and kill nearby Pikmin. It will only use this attack once, and plenty of time is provided to get away. After it rises to its feet, the Quicker Long Legs will reduce its movement speed for the rest of the fight against it.

Raging Long Legs

P2 Raging Long Legs.jpg
Main article: Raging Long Legs

The Raging Long Legs bears a resemblance to the Beady Long Legs in overall body structure but has bigger, hairier feet, a larger body, is shiny and black with purple bands, and moves more slowly. Like the Beady Long Legs, if it is harmed enough that it becomes agitated, it shakes any attacking Pikmin off and starts stomping madly. This is extremely dangerous since its feet are very large, and Pikmin take a little time to get up after they are shaken off. Its body is so large, however, that any kind of Pikmin can be thrown without waiting, and dodging it should be a rather trivial thing, so it isn't hard to defeat as long as Pikmin are called back before it rages.

Rocky Long Legs

Main article: Rocky Long Legs

The Rocky Long Legs is an arachnorb that survives exclusively on a diet of mossy stones. The creature extrudes excess stone from its skin which coats the creature and forms into a hard stone shell, providing camouflage and defense from predators. Only Rock Pikmin are capable of harming and defeating a Rocky Long Legs.

Royal Long Legs

Main article: Royal Long Legs

The Royal Long Legs is similar to the Beady Long Legs in terms of appearance and behavior, but it has a purple-colored body with a crown on top of it. The only difference in a battle against it is its crown, which can impale Pikmin that land on it.

Shaggy Long Legs

Main article: Shaggy Long Legs

The Shaggy Long Legs is an arachnorb that has a general body structure similar to that of the Beady Long Legs, only black, like the Raging Long Legs. It is unique in that it has hair covering its joints, feet, and body. The hair and overall body color vary depending on the area in which it is found. In order to defeat this beast, Pikmin must climb up its legs, and when they reach a hairy joint, they will stop to attack it. Once the hairs are cleared, the Pikmin can move on to the leg's other joint and remove the hairs there. When a joint is cleared, however, the creature will shake its leg, throwing the Pikmin down. After the main torso's hair falls off, it finally becomes vulnerable to heavy damage.

Snowy Long Legs

Snowy Long Legs.png
Main article: Snowy Long Legs

The Snowy Long Legs is a blue-colored, more volatile variant of the Beady Long Legs. It is an arctic arachnorb, and so it can use ice-based attacks. After taking a fair amount of damage, it will open up its body as if it died, but it will release liquid nitrogen.

Stone Long Legs

Stone Long Legs.jpg
Main article: Stone Long Legs

The Stone Long Legs is a spider-like creature and is the larval stage of the Beady Long Legs. Its shell is gray and appears to be made from a stone-like substance, rendering it impervious to anything but bomb rocks.

Tarpit Long Legs

Main article: Tarpit Long Legs

The Tarpit Long Legs is black in color and has a red triangle on its abdomen. It will stomp around its arena, splattering mud or tar in the places where there is none, like dirt and cement. This arachnorb will go outside of its arena after a set amount of time.
