The Giant Beadypuffleg is an enemy in Pikmin Galaxy Adventure as the boss of Long Legs Hole. It is a Snarestool that has taken control over a Beady Long Legs. To kill it, throw Yellow Pikmin at its body, and then, when the Snarestool falls, swarm it with Pikmin. Repeat as necessary until the creature dies. The amount of seeds and Pokos it is worth makes up for its remarkable difficulty.

Notes

Olimar's notes

This enormous predator is considered one of the most dangerous enemies on all the planets. It can eat and crush Pikmin! When it steps on a Pikmin, it might think: "Oops, there goes lunch." ...I guess I will never know what it really thinks.

Louie's notes

Inedible. Can't fit into frying pan.

Scientific name Fungum malum aranea
Family Arachnorb
Carry weight N/A
Attacks Crushes and poisons Pikmin

The Puffy Long Legs is a member of the arachnorb family that relies heavily on poison to deter or kill its attackers. Every step it takes results in a cloud of poisonous spores bursting outward around the foot that hits the ground. Another of its attacks is opening its spherical central body, out of which spews poisonous spores.

Notes

Olimar's notes

This specimen of arachnorb seems to have formed a symbiotic relationship with the fungi native to PNF-404. Oddly enough, this type of fungus has a chemical buildup that is strikingly similar to that of the puffstool. However, the spores released by the puffy long legs do not convert pikmin into mushroom pikmin, rather they are poisonous. The puffy long legs has a large purple mushroom atop its head, as well as four smaller mushrooms that serve as its feet. It is believed that these fungi supply self-defense and nutrients to the puffy long legs by decomposing corpses either roamed across or created by the puffy long legs, which in return provides transportation for the fungi to spread their spores. Unfortunately, the puffy long legs sticks with the theme of the other arachnorbs in that they detonate upon being killed, proving dissection to be quite difficult. All that remains after defeating the puffy long legs is the fungi it utilizes for self-defense, which appear to be no more than average mushrooms.

Louie's notes

The insect itself cannot be harvested or cooked, as it explodes almost immediately after being heated. However, the mushrooms can be part of a very delicious risotto! Just remember to cook thoroughly or else you might have a severe case of food poisoning, or maybe even worse.
