The '''Clambering Crawbster''' is definitely a unique boss encountered in the game [[Pikmin:The After Years]]. It has red skin like its counterpart, the [[Segmented Crawbster]], but it has a brown shell as opposed to a blue one like its relative. It, like the [[Clambering Wraith]], now has he ability to climb up walls and the ceiling because of the spikes that are now on its shell. It cannot be defeated the same way as you would for a Segmented Crawbster because it will end up climbing the wall. It still has the rolling attack of the segmented Crawbster though. If it manages to get on the wall, it will head towards the ceiling. Once on the ceiling, it can do one of two attacks. It can either smash the ceiling causing boulders to fall or it can fall off the ceiling. If it falls off the ceiling, it will create a large shockwave that may malfunction your captain's suit. Hide in an alcove to avoid the attack. Unfortunately, for the Crawbster, its spikes will get stuck in the ground and it will now be susceptible to attack. It has less health than the Segmented Crawbster, but this beast makes up for it in strength and annoyance. the shockwaves are anoing too

Its calloused skin is red, like the [[Segmented Crawbster]], but its shell is brown rather than blue. Along the back of the Clambering Crawbster's segmented shell is a row of spikes the creature uses to scale walls and venture across ceilings. Because of this, it can not be defeated by coaxing it into rolling into a wall to expose its vulnerable belly; doing so only causes it to roll up the wall, towards the ceiling. Once there, it may either bash the ceiling to cause [[boulder]]s to rain down, or fall to create a large [[Earth|shockwave]] that causes the [[leader]]s' spacesuits to malfunction. Both attacks can be avoided by ducking into an alcove. After falling, the Clambering Crawbster's spikes become embedded into the ground, providing a lengthy opportunity to damage the creature's exposed belly. What the Clambering Crawbster lacks in vitality it makes up for in strength and ferocity, making for a tense battle.


==How to Kill==
The Clambering Crawbster also has a [[dark matter]]-infused variant, which is known as the "'''Dark Clambering Crawbster'''". The Dark Clambering Crawbster appears only in the [[Galactic Warpzone]], the final cave, and it is a stronger version of the Clambering Crawbster that has more health, faster and deadlier attacks, and the ability to use a new, unique attack in addition to its existing ones.  
To kill this beast, lure it next to a wall so it can climb up. When it reaches the ceiling, wait for it to fall down and land on its back. When it lands, it should be unable to move, making this a perfect chance to attack with [[Purple Pikmin]]. However, it will cause boulders to fall, so avoid them and this boss should be gone in about 2 turns.

The Clambering Crawbster is a creep-crab appearing in Pikmin: The After Years. Its calloused skin is red, like the Segmented Crawbster, but its shell is brown rather than blue. Along the back of the Clambering Crawbster's segmented shell is a row of spikes the creature uses to scale walls and venture across ceilings. Because of this, it can not be defeated by coaxing it into rolling into a wall to expose its vulnerable belly; doing so only causes it to roll up the wall, towards the ceiling. Once there, it may either bash the ceiling to cause boulders to rain down, or fall to create a large shockwave that causes the leaders' spacesuits to malfunction.
