The Wraith Gargantuar is a massive enemy that appears in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The creature resembles the Waterwraith, being an amorphous, humanoid being made of a dark red, transparent plasm. However, its arms, legs, and chest are much more muscular than any other Wraith or enemy. The massive wraith also has two large horns protruding from its head, although they are made of the same substance as its body.
The Wraith Gargantuar is found mainly in the Wraith Crystal Cavern. The enemy can also appear if a Wraith Blob decides to assume its form in Overlord mode, but this is extremely rare. Wraith Gargantuars are by far the most aggressive enemy to face, as once they spot Pikmin, they will not stop until every one is dead, like the Nubby Bulborb. Wraith Gargantuars will constantly pursue their targets, and will never lose track of them, even if they run out of view. However, the Gargantuar is very slow, but compensates for its lack of speed with high health, which is around that of most minibosses, such as the Porquillion or Burrowing Snagret. When close enough, Wraith Gargantuars will lift both their massive fists and slam them into the ground. This attack is extremely dangerous, as any Pikmin caught by it will be killed; even Rock Pikmin and Weighted Pikmin are not immune to the attack. If the leaders and Pikmin flee far enough away, the Wraith Gargantuar will beat its chest and roar violently, before charging quickly towards the group and performing a slam attack. They can also rip off a small chunk of their plasm and throw it at the group. The small plasm piece can become its own Wraith Blob. The Wraith Gargantuar cannot shake off Pikmin, but simply smashing its fist or charging will be enough to shake off even Fur Pikmin.
Due to having resistances to virtually every Pikmin type, the Wraith Gargantuar should be avoided at all costs. Leaders can use Ice Pikmin to freeze the Wraith Gargantuar and do significant damage, although it may still not be enough. Once defeated, the Gargantuar will explode and send plasm flying everywhere.
In Overlord mode, the Wraith Gargantuar has even more health, becoming a full-fledged miniboss. Their health, speed, damage, and range are all increased drastically. They cannot be stunned, and they will also be frozen for half the normal amount of time.

Virtually nothing can stop this giant, and not even the Pyro Phoenix can lay a scratch on it. Wraith Gargantuars are used by Waterwraiths to take out the most dangerous of intruders.”
