Attacks Eats Pikmin, crushes Pikmin

The Rubber Bulboar is a species of grub-hog appearing in Pikmin: Neo. Appearing similarly to the Patchy Bulboar, it has some notable differences: firstly, its hide is thicker and consists of a single brown tone, and secondly, its head's color is bronze instead of peach. The Rubber Bulboar spends its time in solitude, living in a nest and guarding the eggs of its mate. Said nest is flattened in the ground from the bulboar's special abilities. It initially deters potential predators by intimidating them, and if that doesn't work, it attempts to bite them. If the intruder persists, it tucks its head into its body and starts to roll. In this state, it rolls directly toward the nearest threat and attempts to crush them. Avoiding its charge is key to attacking it as it becomes vulnerable upon missing. Because of the beast's thick hide, a bomb rock can be used to overturn it. exposing its soft underbelly.

Notes

Olimar's notes

Adapting to a more mountainous lifestyle, these solitary grub-hogs gained a rubbery hide to protect them from falling rocks. Its hide is also highly flexible, allowing this creature to roll into a ball should it need to move across steep terrain. It is very protective of its nest and will intimidate anything trying to steal its eggs.

Louie's notes

While the skin is too tough to eat, the ribs are moist and delectable. One must cook it carefully, however, to avoid burning it.
