Stygian Subterrain | |
---|---|
The Stygian Subterrain is a large cavern that is extremely dim, with the only light coming from either glowcaps or enemies that glow in the dark.
Layout
There are a few outdoor sections of the map, including one landing site on the northern side of the map. Throughout the duration of the map, the Vehemoth Phosbat will loom around and occasionally go after groups of Pikmin that it sees that are not protected by the shelter of a well-lit area. One way to combat this is to carry one of the Colossal Glowcaps' that are planted throughout the area. The Vehemoth Phosbat can be defeated, but another will spawn after a few days, so it is overall suggested to simply not leave any groups of Pikmin alone. The Stygian Subterrain is also where the Thorn Pikmin and Rock Pikmin are discovered.
