The Moldy Snitchbug is an enemy appearing in Pikmin 44. It is found all throughout the caves of Concrete Moorland, and the surface of Blustering Tributary. It has been infected with a sporovid fungus on its antenna and has trouble flying because of it, thus making its movement patterns quite unpredictable. It also leaves a trail of poison behind itself as it flies. Like other scarpanids, it will grab Pikmin or leaders that pass by and throw them into the ground. However, instead of planting them, it will create a puddle of poison wherever they land. If knocked out of the air, it will begin to crawl along the ground frantically, leaving a lengthy trail of poison as it moves, and be unable to return to the air. White Pikmin are the most efficient type to use against it.
