The powerasite family contains strange insects that imbue other creatures with hazard-based powers.

Black Power Parasite

The Black Power Parasite injects its host with a volatile substance that can be condensed into an object resembling a bomb rock. This object can be spat out by the Black Power Parasite's host and detonates after a short delay.

Blue Power Parasite

Main article: Blue Power Parasite

A Blue Power Parasite can latch onto an enemy to surround them in a large, watery membrane that can drown all but water-resistant Pikmin such as Blue Pikmin. Creatures that typically drown when introduced to water, like most mandiblards, cannot drown when protected by the Blue Power Parasite.

Cyan Power Parasite

Main article: Cyan Power Parasite

The Cyan Power Parasite can imbue its host with a liquid nitrogen veil, freezing anything that gets too close except for Cyan Pikmin. The host of a Cyan Power Parasite can freeze water just by walking over it, allowing it to easily cross bodies of water.

Green Power Parasite

Main article: Green Power Parasite

A Green Power Parasite can latch onto enemies to imbue them with acid-based powers so long as it is attached. Only acid-resistant Pikmin such as Green Pikmin can attack the Green Power Parasite's host and knock the parasite off of them. If the Green Power Parasite manages to latch onto a cell puddle such as the Chemical Goolix, its host will grow in size.

Purple Power Parasite

Main article: Purple Power Parasite

The Purple Power Parasite can latch onto another enemy to shroud them in poisonous gas so long as it is attached. Only White Pikmin can be used to attack the Purple Power Parasite's host and the parasite itself.

Red Power Parasite

Main article: Red Power Parasite

Red Power Parasites utilize fire. They latch onto any other enemies and pump into their hosts the sponge-like cells that the Fiery Bulblax has, preventing any type of Pikmin but fire-resistant Pikmin such as Red Pikmin and Bulbmin from attacking them.

Yellow Power Parasite

Main article: Yellow Power Parasite

The Yellow Power Parasite is the electric variant of the powerasite family. It is well known for jumping onto nearby creatures to electrify them if threatened. It pumps in positive and negative molecules of oxygen, causing electricity to surge throughout the host. The weakness of Yellow Power Parasites and their hosts is Yellow Pikmin, or any other Pikmin that resists electricity.
