The Petroleum Pipeline is the first sub-area in the Defiled Grounds. This sub-area is inside the cavernous sewer system beneath the region and is linked together by many pipes. These pipes can be walked through like tunnels to reach other rooms, but many of them are also timed, for oily water will periodically gush through some of them every once in a while and flush out any leaders and Pikmin that were inside. The requisite polluted water and filtration devices common to the Defiled Grounds can also be found here and will need to be used to access certain sections blocked off by the toxic water.
