The dweevil family is a species of enemies that resemble spiders. All members are known to collect treasures, bodies of dead creatures, and other objects in order to mimic them or use them for some other purpose.

Most possess elemental attacks, which they do not use unless aggravated, and they are only found underground. The size of smaller Dweevils' bodies makes landing a Pikmin on them difficult; they are most easily defeated using Purple Pikmin, which can home in on enemies when thrown, and even stun the beasts without having to land right on them.

Members

Acidic Dweevil

Main article: Acidic Dweevil

This dweevil can shoot acid. Other than that, it behaves like the average dweevil.

Anode Dweevil

Main article: Anode Dweevil

The Anode Dweevil is yellow and attacks with an electrical discharge, which, like other electrical hazards, can electrocute or kill Pikmin vulnerable to electricity. Yellow Pikmin are the best choice in battle against them. Its attack is harmful to leaders unless an upgrade that prevents electrical damage has been collected.

Berserk Dweevil

Main article: Berserk Dweevil

The Berserk Dweevil is a gigantic version of the dweevil subspecies called Webber Dweevils, rather like how the Giga Bulbear is a gigantic version of the bulborb subspecies, Spotty Bulbear.

Caustic Dweevil

Main article: Caustic Dweevil

This is a blue Dweevil which, when agitated by attacks, releases a blast of acidic bodily fluid in an attempt to drown attacking Pikmin. Therefore, pitting Blue Pikmin against them is the best choice. Caustic Dweevils can cause minor damage to leaders, but their low health and weak attacks mean they pose no real threat.

Chill Dweevil

Main article: Chill Dweevil

The Chill Dweevil is a dweevil that defends itself by releasing chemicals that freeze upon contact with open air. The freeze lasts for but a second, as the ice will break shortly after. It is identified by its pale blue, nearly white skin. It has black eyes. It should be dealt with only with Cyan Pikmin or another type of Pikmin resistant to its icy attacks. Like many other dweevils, it will pick up objects and use them to defend itself.

Fiery Dweevil

Main article: Fiery Dweevil

The Fiery Dweevil is generally considered the most common Dweevil. It is a red Dweevil that, when agitated by attacks, will release searing flames that will ignite nearby Pikmin.Red Pikmin are ideal for combating this creature. It is still able to hurt leaders unless they have obtained an upgrade which makes them immune to fire attacks.

Frosty Dweevil

Main article: Frosty Dweevil

It is like the Chill Dweevil but is light blue with pink eyes and it attacks by blasting a cold wind which only Turquoise Pikmin can resist. When non-Turquoise Pikmin get hit by the cold wind, they become frozen. When the ice shatters, they shatter along with the ice and die.

Munge Dweevil

Main article: Munge Dweevil

The Munge Dweevil is a purple Dweevil that releases a poisonous gas when attacked; this poisons any Pikmin that are not immune to it, making White Pikmin top-notch when fighting these creatures. However, since leaders generally have air filters, they can be beaten easily without Pikmin.

Sandy Dweevil

Main article: Sandy Dweevil

The Sand Dweevil is a dark yellow dweevil with dark yellow eyes. It acts like any other dweevil, it can pick up treasures and runs away from enemies. This dweevil will shoot a cloud of sand which suffocates all Pikmin. Since no Pikmin are immune to sand, they'll all be suffocated. You could easily call them back with your whistle before they die.

Titan Dweevil

Main article: Titan Dweevil

The Titan Dweevil is by far the largest of all known Dweevils, and can only attack using treasures it has picked up and its arms, the latter of which causing no damage. This means that without treasures, it is harmless. Titan Dweevils bury themselves in a manner not unlike the Man-at-Legs, and will rise if approached.

Volatile Dweevil

Main article: Volatile Dweevil

Volatile Dweevils prefer to carry bomb-rocks over all other objects; when one sees a leader or Pikmin, it follows it and the bomb-rock's timer starts. When this detonates, the Dweevil is killed, making the best tactic when confronted with one of these to run away. It is also possible to petrify one with an ultra-bitter spray and then kill it without it ever exploding. Upon defeat this way, the creature may leave behind Nectar, or possibly a spray. These Dweevils commonly drop from ceilings.

Webber Dweevil

The Webber Dweevil is a subspecies of dweevil, rather like how the bulbear is a subspecies of bulborb. It is larger than the other dweevil varieties and stands about as tall as and has the same legspan as an Armored Cannon Beetle. This enemy hides in large spiderweb growths that appear to be the same that contain the Burgeoning Spiderwort plants.

Frigid Dweevil/Icy Dweevil

The Icy Dweevil is a enemy in Pikmin E
