In Pikmin: Voyage in Space, the Arkwraith has a chance of spawning as a replacement of any enemy, although it spawns more commonly replacing a Wraith class enemy. The Arkwraith naturally spawns in two locations within Silver City, along with two caves in the Boiling Bog. This enemy consists of several single-cell organisms working in unison. There is a slightly bigger single-celled organism. The nucleus of it is visible in the head of the Arkwraith, and it almost looks like an eye. The Arkwraith will attempt to target nearby dead enemies, and will get faster the closer they are to their target. They pounce onto the corpse and wrap their legs and arms around it, essentially holding it close. This can be prevented by making the corpse unsteady, by either having a Pikmin try to carry it or have it sit on a slope. When an Arkwraith has chosen a target, it will not switch to a new one until either they take control of it or the object becomes unavailable. If a set of stone rollers are nearby, the Arkwraith will mount it and take the ability of the Waterwraith, just like most other Wraith-class entities. When an Arkwraith does not have an available target in range, it will become mostly invisible, letting its eye be seen better. The Arkwraith's ambient theme is muted when it turns invisible, and it fades in when it becomes visible, although the theme is quiet. When it takes control of an enemy, the controlled enemy's theme plays alongside the Arkwraith's theme. When an Arkwraith uses stone rollers, the Arkwraith theme is warped to sound similar to the Waterwraith. When the Arkwraith is invisible, it cannot be damaged. When targeting something, the Arkwraith can be attacked and damaged by Lunar Pikmin and Glow mobs. The Arkwraith can be killed with explosions, and can be attacked by any Pikmin type once it has attached itself to a corpse. The Arkwraith drops 30 chips when defeated, and it also drops its eye, which is worth only 2 Sparklium. The eye's pupil dries out, turning gray as it drops a spray or nectar based on eye color. Red = ultra-spicy spray, Purple = Ultra-bitter, Yellow = Nectar, Green = Glow sap, Blue = Chromatic spray, Orange = Healing spray. It has fourty health, meaning it will die in 8 hits to a red Pikmin, or 4 from a thrown Purple Pikmin. The Arkwraith does not attack captains, and will attempt to run from them, instead choosing to attack stray Pikmin. If there are no stray Pikmin, however, Arkwraiths will target a captain's Pikmin squad. Arkwraiths will slowly die if there are no targets that can become available. They will slowly lose cells until they deform into a puddle and the nucleus (eye) dries out leaving a spray and the Arkwraith corpse.

The Arkwraith is a supernatura in Pikmin: Voyage in Space that has a chance of appearing in place of any enemy, more commonly a wraith-class enemy. The Arkwraith naturally appears in two locations within Silver City, along with two caves in the Boiling Bog. This enemy consists of several single-cell organisms working in unison, a slightly bigger single-celled organism with a visible nucleus acting as the head, almost resembling an eye. While it is active, its signature theme plays.

The Arkwraith will attempt to target nearby dead enemies and will become faster the closer it is to its target. When close enough, it will pounce on the corpse and wrap its legs and arms around it, holding it close. This can be prevented by making the corpse unsteady, by either having a Pikmin try to carry it, or by having it sit on a slope. When an Arkwraith has chosen a target, it will not switch to a new one until either it takes control or the object is unstable. If a set of stone rollers are nearby, the Arkwraith will, like most other wraith-class entities, mount it and take the ability of the Waterwraith. When it takes control of an enemy, its theme will play in conjunction with its own. While using its rollers, its theme will be warped to sound similar to the Waterwraith's. When an Arkwraith does not have an available target in range, it will become mostly invisible, though its eye is still relatively visible. While in this state, it can not be damaged, and its theme is muted. When it finds a suitable target, it will become visible again.

While active, the Arkwraith can be attacked and damaged, but only by Lunar Pikmin and Glow Pikmin glowmobs. The Arkwraith can also be killed with explosions, and attacked by any Pikmin type once it has attached itself to a corpse. It has 40 health, meaning it will die in 8 hits to a Red Pikmin, or 4 from a thrown Purple Pikmin. The Arkwraith does not attack captains, and will even attempt to run from them, choosing instead to attack stray Pikmin. If there are no stray Pikmin, an Arkwraith will target a captain's Pikmin squad. The Arkwraith drops 30 chips when defeated, also leaving its eye behind, which is worth only 2 Sparklium. The eye's pupil will dry out, turning gray as it forms a nectar, spray, or other useful substance based on its eye color: red for ultra-spicy spray, purple for ultra-bitter spray, yellow for nectar, green for glow sap, blue for chromatic spray, and orange for healing spray. Arkwraiths will slowly die if no targets are available, slowly losing cells until they deform into a puddle and the nucleus, or eye, dries out, leaving a spray and the Arkwraith corpse.

Arkwraiths will stay invisible even if a player has the Ultravision Goggles. Glow Pikmin and Solstice Pikmin can not detect an invisible Arkwraith, but if a glowmob hits the nucleus of the invisible Arkwraith, the Glow Pikmin will attack it.

Arkwraiths have several forms corresponding to each area they are found in, along with a few extras, and one found only in the game's files.

Later in the story, a unique Arkwraith named Chancy can be fought as an optional boss. She does not advance story boss progression but does count toward Challenge Mode progression.
